Estimators
Estimators play critical roles in the construction process. Construction estimators provide an estimate on the cost of a project to the client. While providing insight on the project, estimators consider the size and scope of the project as well as use their expertise and knowledge to account for uncertainties and unforeseen issues that may arise. While considering the size and scope of the project, estimators assess all factors of the project including market costs, labor required, labor costs, and the length of the project. A construction estimator reviews blueprints and schematics of the project and compile a list of all materials needed to complete the project. This includes materials like concrete for the foundation, roofing materials, wood for framing, wiring, plumbing supplies, hinges, screws, and cables.
